CIPLC School Uniforms

The Venezuelan Education Ministry has established a mandatory dress code for all public and private schools in the country.   The school uniform will be a part of your child’s daily life at CIPLC.  Please plan to buy school proper clothes for school uniforms this summer! Students will not be allowed to class if they are out of uniform

The biggest issues we tend to have are with the uniform shorts.  Shorts are often not long enough or are sport shorts with stripes or other color designs on them. We recommend that you buy several pairs of the appropriate shorts or trousers before each school year starts so you are not left trying to find them if a pair becomes lost or damaged during the school year. Below is the full explanation of our school dress code.  All school shirts must be bought at a Ceinca store in Lechería. (See Map to Ceinca Here)

The lower half of the uniform consists of solid, navy blue pants, skirts, or hemmed shorts that are 5 cm above the knees or longer. Blue jeans in nice condition are acceptable.   No part of the uniform may be faded, torn, ripped, or frayed, including jeans.  The upper half consists of a solid shirt in these assigned colors:

Any sweater worn on campus must be solid navy or dark blue. For physical education (PE) classes, all students must wear the school’s PE uniform.  New students will have one week to purchase their uniforms.

Appropriate student dress helps create an attitude and atmosphere conducive to learning and demonstrates the students’ pride in themselves and in their school.  Student dress must reflect the important and serious purpose of CIPLC.  The following are not permitted as part of a school uniform:

  • Torn, patched or frayed jeans, sweat pants, beach shorts, or athletic shorts.
  • “Flip-flops”, high heels, bare feet, torn or cut-up sneakers.
  • Overalls or coveralls.
  • Hats/ caps or other head coverings such as stocking caps or bandanas

In addition, all uniform shirts must have the school logo, and students must wear their uniform during the entire school day.

Changes to the PE Uniform:

Elementary – White T-shirt with school logo and solid navy pants or shorts and sneakers.
Secondary – White T-shirt with school logo and solid Navy Blue shorts and sneakers. No leggings, tights, or pants.  No colors other than Navy blue shorts, and white T-shirts may be worn.
