Serving is Our Vision!
TLC, or Teens Linking Communities, is a club for middle school and high school students who want to Make a Change by participating in uplifting social service projects that have at their core building relationships. The vision of TLC is to help every young person feel a sense of belonging and love. Through the process of identifying and partnering with communities, defining goals, developing strategies, organizing resources, and putting all these things into action, members of TLC gain valuable leadership skills and experiences. Ultimately, TLC members get the satisfaction of sharing meaningful experiences with their broadened community as well as the knowledge that their efforts have brought laughter and joy into the lives of many young people within CIPLC and beyond.
La Finca Orphanage Roof
In the past TLC formed links with two local orphanages. For one of the orphanages, TLC members raised enough money to replace a crumbling roof and provide an air conditioning unit to an overheated kitchen. In recent years, TLC has focused on inviting less fortunate children from the community to the CIPLC campus in order to participate in enrichment activities and build relationships with neighbors.
